CIA the election year scapegoat

Now that Rice has brushed off blame into numerous directions, including the CIA, it is now appearing that the CIA is the dumping ground for blame on Bush Administration atrocities.

The entire failure of the Iraq War and it's lack of WMD's was brushed of as some bad advice by the CIA. Tenet may now be taking the blame.

Yet the Bush Admin, rushed the war (not to mention congress and democrats included who gave him the authority to do so). They hurried Hans Blix out of the country when he said he needed more time. They pushed the early war to avoid the harsh weather of the Iraqi summer, despite the disapproval of the U.N. and countries like France Germany, Russia, and China.

What we don't hear now in mainstream news is that the CIA was one of the prominent U.S. opponents to the Iraq war. They were advising against the war.

Now that the motivations are proving to be a fiasco, The CIA is caving in and taking the blame, intsead of an official response of "don't look at us, we told you it was a bad idea" Rather, they're taking the blame for something they advised against to take the heat off the Bush election campaign.

One possible reason for this may be the influence of Bush Senior who was head of the CIA, and who the headquarters is now actually named after, The George Bush Center for inteligence is now the new name for Langley.

Condi Rice is now blaming communication failures between the CIA and FBI.

Yet the American public and news media just bend over and swallow the spin without significant criticism or debate. It forgets key points like the CIA anti-war stance prior to the Iraq invasion last year, and just lets officials speak without scrutiny.
