July 20, 2004 Come celebrate the Baltimore Rebellion of 1877! A radical tour of the march route of the rebellion.
4:30 PM
Fifth Regiment Armory (Howard and Preston)
Stand in solidarity with working people in Baltimore and learn about how folks used to respond to oppression and greed.
The United Workers are a group of day laborers at Camden Yards who are struggling against horrible wages, no job security, little organizing ability, and a life of poverty. We stand in solidarity with the UWA and want to connect their present struggle to past struggles of the same circumstances. Their situation is no different than the situation of workers 125 years ago in Baltimore, and without resistance, it will only get worse!
July 21, 2004 Art Not Ads Picnic!
2pm until 6pm
The backyard of 108 East Burke Ave. Burke is located three blocks south of the Towson Circle on York Road on the left. E-mail bikedrunkpunk (at) yahoo.com for directions.
Come to a vegan/vegetarian/meat if you eat it, pot luck bar-b-q, open mic and art gallary. Bring art to donate to Art Not Ads or to trade for free art (or take free art!), bring instruments, food to be cooked or eaten, and friends. Alcohol is welcome, but must be conceleaed.
Also at the picnic will be the Bmore Free Store. Bring donations! Take things!
