Hey Y'all, some rioters and folksingers from the Riot-Folk! Records Collective are going to be touring from NYC to Bloomington in March and our gig in Pittsburg fell through! We are hard-hitting radical folk musicians who have performed with the likes of Pete Seeger, Anti-Flag, Against Me!, Billy Bragg and Pat Humphries. We'll play anywhere, a living room, event, basement, bookstore, etc. If anyone can help us out, please let us know! E-mail info@riotfolk.org

The tour will be:
RYAN HARVEY - songs of resistance and uprising from baltimore
EVAN GREER - aggressive folk from the frontlines
TOM FRAMPTON - insanely eloquent in-your-face folk-punk
MARK GUNNERY - clever anarchist folk from NYC
DARREN "DEICIDE" KRAMER - jersey's anarcho-boogie artist

Check out http://www.riotfolk.org and http://www.darrendeicide.org for mp3s and more information.

If you can help us out with a show, just e-mail info@riotfolk.org and let us know. It doesn't need to be a big production! All we need is a quiet space to play and a few people to play to.

Below is some basic info about the Riot-Folk! Records Collective.

Riot Folk is an artist-owned and run performance collective and record label. We seek to use our music to educate, inspire and support movements for direct democracy, social and economic justice, and ecological sanity.

We perform together in the round, swapping songs in the traditional song-circle style, improvising our set-list as we go. From solo acoustic songs to vocally-harmonic and instrumental collaborations, our performances are an energetic mix of cultivated political-poetic performance and spontaneous inspiration.

Riot Folk Collective artists have shared the stage with the likes of Pete Seeger, Billy Bragg, Charlie King, Michelle Shocked, Jim Page, Pat Humphries, and David Rovics.

“For two hours, the Riot Folk performers took us from sorrow to rage and back again, and the last song brought me to tears, the last one about our fear being our hope, hope that future generations will know a world that is better than this one...” - Portland Indymedia
