Republican Rep: Iraq tied to 9/11 After All

Rep. Hayes aggravates the deception.

Huh. Apparently, Rep. Robin Hayes (R-NC), who just happens to be the vice chairman of the House subcommittee on terrorism, told someone at CNN that Saddam Hussein and Iraq were involved in 9/11 after all. Apparently, Hayes has information that no one else does: when informed that no investigation has ever found any evidence linking Iraq and the events of 9/11, Hayes said, "I'm sorry, but you must have looked in the wrong places."

OK, Rep. Hayes, why don't you tell us where you found your evidence? Was it under the couch, where the President laughingly looked for WMDs for the amusement of the Radio and Television Correspondents' Association, even as our young men and women were being blown to bits in Iraq for his folly? Was the evidence spirited across the border to Syria? Is Karl Rove hiding it under his man-boobs? Where is it?

If there is evidence, produce it. If it is classified, de-classify it. Otherwise, just shut the fuck up.
