Animal Torture By the Veterans' Administration
from a paper published by United Action For Animals
...Eleanor Seiling.. deceased director
While our nation's veterans are denied medical care and
forced to become poor charity patients, the VA continues to
subsidize experiments in which baboons are forced to
consume alcohol, cats sleep-deprived and then electroshocked,
nervous dogs terrorized into catatonic immobility to observe
'fear of humans', animals of many species are forced to inhale cigarette smoke, animals are forced to fight other animals,
rats are dosed with alcohol and presented with live mice
to observe the effect of drunkenness on mouse killing, rats are immobilized in refrigerators to produce stress ulcers, rabbits are subjected to electroshock in their eyes... in old outdated Pavlovian
experiments which have been repeated over 250 times.

Irradiating Dogs To Death, Sewing Rats Together
IRRADIATING DOGS TO DEATH
At the Univ of Iowa and VA Medical Center, dogs were
irradiated to death. At lower doses, dogs had vomiting, diarrhead and had to be fed through duodenal
catheters. 1984
SEWING RATS TOGETHER
Parabiosis is sewing animals together. 20 captive rats
were used. Hypertension was artificially produced in 10 rats by
tying a thread around the portal vein.

CREATION OF BRAIN SEIZURES
VA in Sepulveda Ca produces seizures in cats through
kindling 1984
kind·ling: the electrophysiological changes that occur in the brain as a result of repeated intermittent exposure to a subthreshold electrical or chemical stimulus (as one causing seizures) so that there develops a usually permanent decrease in the threshold of excitability

SPINE SEVERING
The Medical College of Georgia and VA in Augusta Ga have
severed the spines of rats. This research was paid for by
the Medical Research Svc of the VA. (1985)

TREADMILL DEATHS
1982 Rats with pituitary glands removed were forced to run uphill on a motorized treadmill 140 minutes a day.. the speed and slope
of the treadmill were gradually increased. 4 rats died of
forced exertion. Survivors were killed.

RATS FOOD DEPRIVED AND RUN TO DEATH
At the Perry Point, Virginia VA in the Pavlovian Research Lab
41 rats were food deprived and run to death. Sick animals
were rendered unconscious by a sharp blow to the head and a piece of the liver was removed. All survivors were then
bled to death.
