pictures from one of the caravans on the way to Quito
More than 200 people from CONFEUNASSC-CNC, CONAIE and FENOCIN arrived in Cuenca Friday afternoon from Loja. The anti-FTAA (ALCA) caravan marched into the University of Cuenca, which is currently hosting "Encuentro De Mujeres De Las Americas" (Women of the Americas Conference - see next article). The caravan will continue on its way today (Oct. 26) to Quito for the protests against the FTAA (ALCA). These photos are from a march through the city, an assembly held by the caravan yesterday, and anti-imperialist art created this morning.
