GET DOWN WITH CABLE NEWS

a quick and easy way to chisel at Cable News
I am disgusted by the way that The Cable News Industry
treats the Public as a homogenous mass, as though the
people are not their Market, but their Subjects. In
an ensemble as tight as the finest symphony orchestra,
these shameless "Journalists", spout whatever they are
handed without any questions (or answers). We The
People are supposed to have the power in this country,
and ultimately, we do have that power precisely BECAUSE
we are NOT homogenous. I have compiled a list of every
cable news show, show host, and comment email address
that I could find. I urge everyone to join me in
showering the True Homogenous entity, this pathetic
excuse for a Media, with raw evidence of our diversity
and unwillingness (I hope) to settle for the garbage
that is now somehow passing for news. By copying and
pasting this list into your, To: , field in the email
form, you can instantly express any thought or feeling
you would like to every figurehead in Cable News.
Please forward this to any persons who might want to contribute
a message (why not send it to EVERYONE), and maybe even
post this list on any message boards you might know of.

Dear Media personnel:
Thank you very much for your enlightening news stories on the world we live in. Your "rip and read" news stories make everyone who watches with a brain wonder where you get your information from. Somehow I doubt you people even question it. I try desperately to find news on what is REALLY going on in Iraq, Afganistan, Columbia, Bolivia, Guatemala, Liberia, Cuba, North Korea, and many other countries, but all I find from the corporate media is either complete bullshit or no mention of anything at all in places where the world is changing dramatically.
I also wonder why the big media doesn't understand that the news is FOR us, not shoved down our throats by ignorant journalists who only care about sensationalism and ratings. I respect journalism, but not of your kind, which encourages only an unquestioning acceptance to everything the "journalist gods" say are truth.
Guess what, the American people are not buying it anymore. No matter how many flags you have waving behind your logo, people are not going to buy into your rhetoric. Independent media FOR THE PEOPLE AND BY THE PEOPLE is what is needed, not your "reality TV/talkshow" corporate garb. I hate you and everything you stand for, which is brainwashing, greed, and de-evolution of the human spirit. NO, THE PATRIOTIC POLO COMMERCIAL IS NOT GOING TO IMPROVE YOUR RATINGS!!!! NO, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO FOOL ANYONE WITH YOUR NEW CATCH PHRASES LIKE "FAIR AND BALANCED" Don't even try something like a pretend independent news channel, because we will catch on once we see 20 minutes of commercials and "world in a minute" scenarios.
THANKS FOR NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In order to obtain the most accurate reflection of what is going on, I read from such places as indymedia, yellowtimes, rense, commondreams, zmag, & alternet, and then once I've read these places, I take what they say and believe the opposite.
