Bali bomber thanks anti-war protesters

THE man who helped mix the deadly one-tonne Bali nightclub bomb Sawad, alias Sardjiyo, yesterday said he wanted to thank the Australian people who had supported his cause during recent Australian anti-Gulf War protests. "I want to thank the Australian people who supported our cause when they demonstrated against the policies of George Bush. Say thank you to all of them," Sawad said.
Ironically, from a terrorist accused not only of the Bali bombing but of church bombings and the bombing of an ambassador's residence in Jakarta, Sawad claimed he had a message of peace for the world.
"For all human beings to stop now in this world, destroy all of the destructive weapons . . . if there were no weapons then peace can be created," he said.
Terrorism, he said, was a reciprocal action.
Terrorist cohort Ghoni had his own warning for Australians: "Be careful about making friends with America because actually America wants to control the world . . . all of us will be colonised so we have to be careful about making friends with the USA . . . if they are shaken continuously, definitely, they will be smashed."
Both men claimed to be unafraid of the death penalty, which they will very likely face, and had no regrets about the 202 innocent lives lost in the October 12 Bali bombings.

I think it's clear that you have something to say, and it might be of use to people to hear your views, but people aren't hearing you because of the way it's presented. They read "wacko leftist" and "too young to vote" and don't get past that to consider whether anything else you're saying might be worthwhile.
I think people who read and post here tend to be very idealistic- and if you think about what idealistic means, that's you as well as the ostensible "leftists". It's difficult to be idealistic, and to keep a balance, and be able to engage in real discussion with people whose viewpoints are very different. (I do know that getting along with people of differing viewpoints is something I tend find difficult). So I guess I would want to ask you to consider posting in a manner that will encourage people to hear your words, and not get involved in name-calling.
As for folks not being old enough to vote, there are people involved in this who are young and idealistic, and they may seem single-minded. You're old enough to have some perspective: you can show people what that looks like. The things you do have an effect on people: you get to decide how you change the world.

You maybe correct that the "leftists" can not read past my labels and rhetoric to divine the truths of my otherwise eloquent and accurate sentiments. But why are my postings treated (or read) differently than the ubiquitous leftist rhetoric like "neocon nazis" "Hitler=Bush" "freeper" "troll" "bedwetters" etc.? If I can read past that sort of BS why is it so offensive when I say something that is either true (too young to vote - you admit that there are many youngsters out there) or valid opinion of my own (leftist wacko - yes, I think that the statement is wacko (not unlike the way many people here refer to my statements in their own opinions)). Why am I to be treated differently? Because (and my opinion again) you wacko leftists are narrow minded hypocrites. Hopefully you can read past the rhetoric and see the hypocrisy of your statement.
As for poor Racheal and her memory ... well, in memory of all of the elderly jews murdered by the Palestinian friends of Racheal while peacefully enjoying holiday dinner, I take offense at your zealous support for her foolish and misdirected actions.

Rachel Corrie was emphatically not a �peace activist.� She sided with terrorists and criminals, and advocated�in fact, was excited by�violence and mass murder. In her diary [ http://www.scoop.co.nz/mason/stories/HL0302/S00049.htm ] entry for February 10, she lavishes praise on suicide bombers:

The above posting titled "I'm Wuzzy" and purporting to be by "2 beers" is by a jealous imposter. I did not write that posting and I ask that the IMC Editors IMMEDIATELY remove it since it is not by my and contains slanderous and offensive statements. I do appreciate everyone's concern for me, but I did not injure myself while consuming my fourth doughnut of the morning. Typically, I stop at two doughnuts (unless someone else is buying, of course). I also keep my riot gear safely locked away when it is not needed for crowd/march/riot control or other training activities.
Please remove the imposter's posting since it is not written by me, is not true, and holds me in a demeaning and false light. Thank you.

The above post entitled "ps" is not by the one and only True and Blue 2beers. It is the same ignorant jealous imposter. I would not be so callous with my insults of the IMC Editors. There is no cause for such diatribes on this matter. Of course, I do appreciate the Imposter joining the fight for the rights of free speech and for Ewan Kenkesmearse and Rich Mackin. (On the Ewan matter may diatribes are with cause since the elimination of IMC hypocrisy is the cause.)
I did notice though that the Imposter Beers seems to support the IMC censorship practices by suggesting that all of the postings by a particular individual (2beers) should be removed. Similar to the action taken, unjustly, agaisnt Ewan Kenkesmearse and others. More evidence of the rampant hypocrisy of the IMC Leftists. (Notice I didn't say Wacko Leftists.)

The real question is: Why are city workers allowed to protest? Why are EMT's allowed to protest? Why are folks allowed to lay down in the street and block traffic and the police turn their backs but every single anti-war gathering is broken up by the blue knights. I don't understand and am confused. Why are there these double-standards. Don't get me wrong, all forms of public protests should be allowed and encouraged but lets not pick and choose which get the thumbs up from our local authorities

I think the City Police might have been under orders to allow the protesters to block traffic or lay down in the streets, since if anyone got run over it would help reduce the city payrolls. Black-Clad and Leftist protesters are to be kept out of the streets because there is a general law against litter in the streets. There, does that clear things up for you.
