'There is one thing stronger than all the armies in the world; and that is an idea whose time has come.'Victor Hugo (1802-1885)

Mark the International Global Ceasefire Day (21st September) in your calendar. Individuals and communities are commemorating the day with picnics, live shows, exhibitions and parties, and meanwhile, colleagues and comrades of Peace One Day will be getting as many doctors and crates of medicine and sustenance to areas previously cut off by fighting.
IF YOU WANT TO CREATE PEACE IN THE WORLD LET'S START WITH ONE DAY
then we can all ask each other: "what are you doing tomorrow?"
Mark the Day !!! Enjoy the Peace !!! Happiness is not a Warm Gun, It Is the Silence of Cold Heartless Steel. Spread the Peace !!!
Heal my wounded heart.
Grant me the courage to change my heart.
Let Peace live in my heart.
Fill me with compassion for those suffering in war.
Help me care for those in war.
Help me bring Peace to those in war.
Help me stop wars.
Help soldiers stop wars.
Help leaders stop wars.
Fill me with Peace and Justice.
Help me to work for Peace with Justice.
Let there be Peace with Justice among all peoples.

This sounds like a great event. Thanks for the info and links. Is there something planned for the 21st here in Pittsburgh?

I haven't heard if any Pittsburgh group is organizing anything, but I know that there are people planning to do picnics and outings on there own in observance of the day. I originally heard about this from a friend of mine in London. It seems like it is going to be pretty big over there.

I'm an idealistic little mouse with a patina of acne, and I chant "peace" mindlessly. There
Call me a racist, I don't care.
