On September 11, 2001, pilotless airplanes were guided into the World Trade Center by homing beacons. It wasn't a plane that hit the Pentagon, but a missile. U.S. Air Force planes weren't scrambled to intercept the hijacked planes that morning because the White House was behind the events of that tragic day. Incredible? Definitely. Outlandish? Absolutely. But, there are lots of people who believe that at least some parts of these stories are true.

In a special season premiere investigation the fifth estate's Bob McKeown finds that even the most outlandish conspiracy theory may have its basis in a legitimate question. In the course of separating fact from fiction, Bob delves into the labyrinthine and surprising ties between the Bushes and the Bin Ladens. What he finds out may startle you as much as any conspiracy theory.

From what I've read, there seems some disinfo in here, particularly the claim that there was no evidence for foreknowledge of 9/11 (but yet, we know that jets were patrolling Bush's ranch 24 hrs a day the week beforehand, that Asscroft was no longer taking commercial jets, that Willie Brown of SF was told not to fly, etc., etc. - so this is lie). They reference the congressional report but there's no critical analysis of that except to point the finger at the Saudis.

In fact, this entire analysis is essentially - "LOOK! LOOK! THE SAUDIS DID IT!!"

Go get 'em troops.

That's basically ripening everyone for an invasion into that country, if not some cataclysmic event that can only be fixed by a US occupation or installment of new regime heads, or troops.

Who benefits? Ask yourself, when you look at this supposedly serious look at the conspiracies. Certainly it doesn't deeply implicate the current adminstration for anything, nor the CIA / FBI - it even says that the intelligence offices couldn't know 9/11 was going to happen because there was simply a "mountain of information" and they couldn't sort it out, and doesn't take that apart.

The reason, of course, is America�s enormous dependence on Saudi Arabia for oil. Remember: 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudi citizens."

Take this part -

And ask yourself what other country fits into that category.

Who benefits?

To me, the timing of the release of this show and the increasing liklihood of the destabilization of this country is no coincidence.

It benefits only two countries, neither implicated in this documentary as to who they really are - the real terrorists.

Any US citizens die in the latest blast? Oh that's right, all these Arab bombs just seem to kill Arabs. Any Saudi Royals die in the blast? Oh, oops, missed again. Just got Arab and other civilians again. Damn.

Funny how Al Queda is so magical that it can pull of the WTC, but can't seem to get any of the real enemies in the Middle East.

So now the SAUDIs are the big bad enemies!

The last big bad guy was named Saddam. But who paid the price?

The real price to pay will be the people of Saudi Arabia, the men women and children, and the soldiers in the US military. The Saudi Royals may pay a bloody price, but I tend to doubt it - they'll dissapear, just like Osama and Saddam.

This show may further some suspicions of the US government, may help more people to wonder about 9/11, but the people of the Middle East and the US military will pay with their lives. Shows like this will help to seal the fate of the Saudi Royals in the minds of the left.

But in reality, they'll be long gone.
