Lionized vegetable who funded and trained Islamic fundamentalists in Afghnaistan, armed Saddam Hussein and imported cocaine to purchase missles for Iran dead at 93.
I hope his room in hell is staffed with Latin American, Iranian, Afghan, and African-American mothers in full riot gear.

Ronald Reagan now rests before God. We pray that his ascension to heaven will be welcomed, and thank him for his leadership and grace.
You may disagree with President Reagan's politics, for that he always welcomed. You may even oppose his purposes. Again that is your right. And you may exercise the free will bestowed uopn you by the Almighty to choose to be a derelict malcontent of diminished intellect and decency.
The personal attacks above speak well of you and your firends on the left, for it shows the true nature of an indecent and hateful political movement. Inded, this is a very dangerous movement and one which President Reagan warned against during his many years in public office.
Maybe you should set aside your all consuming hatred of all ideas different from your own and listen for a change. Be an astute observer. Be a respectful, decent and gracious person. As the late, and very great, President Reagan would likely comment "do not become cynical and hateful."
President Reagan was truly one of the greatest leaders taht this nation has seen. Any objective review of his time in office would confirm this. He brought the nation back from economic and political malaise. He led the charge to revise a confiscatory and oppressive tax regime. He hastened the demise of an "evil" political and military empire that's sole objective was to destabilize the world and brutally oppress its citizenry. He appointed the first woman to the Supreme Court. He brought strength of character to the Office of the President and to the people of America.
You and the rest of the nation and world have reaped the benefits of President Reagan's economic poliicies and political fortitude for over twenty years. You may not have been here for the "Prosperity of the Carter Years", so you may lack the frame of reference of the time at which President Reagan took office. Of course there was the Iranian hostage crisis which the Carter Administration allowed to continue on for over a year. But there was also gasoline at $1.00/gallon (and those were 1980dollars, so keep that in mind next time you have to fill up at $1.87/gallon), there were the mortgage rates at nearly 20% (but of course you could make 18% in a money market account), and there was unemployment in the double digits in most areas of hte country. I you were not here for those days then thank President Reagan that you have never had to experience those conditions. Fortunately President Reagan came along when he did.

Everyone who thinks that Reagan and Bush are or were evil or up to no good is, in my humblest opinion, a moron. Everyone who thinks that people who disagree with these presidents' policies is anti-American is, in my second humblest opinion, a moron. These guys are only trying to do what they think is right. I happen to disagree with many or most of Bush's policies and I will be voting against him, but I'm not shortsighted enough to think that he is evil or that Reagan was evil.
Every president for the past 200 years has only been trying to fix what predecessors did first.
For example:
Germany loses WWI, goes into depression, Nazis rise to power, U.S. and Russia are allies, Russia becomes stronger, arms race, Russians are now "evil", Reagan armed Afghani "freedom fighters" to fight Russians, Afghanis end up being Muslim Extremists, U.S. backs Israel, 9-11 happens, we have to go kill them now, and it's just a giant stupid mess, and now I'm gonna get drafted when all I want to do is relax and chase some tail! Dammit!!!!
Extremists are silly on both sides of the spectrum.
