Boston DNC Disappointment
by Ken Thursday, Jul. 29, 2004 at 3:53 PM

The DNC protests in Boston were a total failure, thanks to clearly poor organizing.

I, like many activists, attended the DNC to protest this two-party pro-corporate system that plagues our country and the rest of the world. Instead, I found the most disgusting excuse for a protest of my life. A few HUNDRED not thousands attended the rallies and marches, causing me to wonder if anyone even bothered to organize anything serious at all!! This was also shown in the total lack of communication between various protest groups and organizations through the lack of a centralized march or direct actions against the pathetic dems. Also noone seemed to ever know when anything was going on. As far as I'm concerned, these so-called "organizers" can blame cops, etc, whoever for the poor turnout, but they need only to look in the mirror to see who is at fault. If you're afraid to come out and face the cops and feds to fight to take back our country, then this country truly is doomed to fail.

Black Tea Society did a wonderful job

Black Tea Society did a wonderful job organizing, and given the number of people present, things went remarkably well.

There's no individual or group that can be blamed for Boston, because the biggest problem was low turnout: and through no fault of those who were active in organizing around it.
