A twisted glance at a twisted stance.
“Send lawyers, guns and money…the shit has hit the fan.”
The late Warren Zevon
The battle continues in those states deemed “battleground. I recall standing on a hill alongside a scattered collective of on lookers as John Kerry and his band of ex-cons began the tour in Greensburg. I never took it too serious, but I couldn’t help but ponder on what a good friend of mine once inquired: “Why do Democrats wear suits and ties?” The answer took a few months to come to mind. They do so because they are actually Republicans who wish to exercise conservative practice, in order to maintain liberal freedoms over assets and resources in foreign lands. Anyone who thinks for one minute that Kerry will do a better job than the incumbent white room rube…I mean White House resident, has most likely gone mad from mercury loaded tap water.
The Kerry campaign is nothing more than a stain on any thought of achieving social justice for the eyeless twits that support him. And so is Bush’s choir preaching for that matter. Yes the President has managed to slop up his audience’s most fundamental literary core. (Not fundamental in the ignorant media definition, but as in the essential foundations of a certain body or collective.) I am told that the editors of Conservative Magazine are loading up the pillbox in preparation for a 12th hour decision that may end up as a brutal death pile alongside Pennsylvania Avenue. But we already know that Bush is capable enough to dig his own grave.
As I stood on that hill in Greensburg, I could hear the voice of casino owner/”Gov-earner” of this un-common-wealth, Ed Rendell, cry to the ears of Westmoreland County, begging for its taxpayers to drop the conservative lean and give the Democratic Party a chance. He was speaking on behalf of Joe Hoeffel, who at that moment was cowering in a corner of the old Troutman’s building. His campaign headquarters, much like the phone line get up in the movie “Boiler Room”, had been set up by none other than Ben Affleck. The Hoeffel team is ready to bug out of Western PA as soon as the media bombs fall, along with the release of tapes showing Joe at one of the happy ending massage parlors on route 30. The tapes had been confiscated quickly after local republican affiliates pushed to close down the “rub & tugs”. It is that time, the weapons of mass distortion are loaded, oiled and cost much less than the weapons that we sold to the Janjaweed in order to give us freedom over the liberal use of whatever assets and resources we want in Darfur. Battles go on, and blood may always flow. But the real battle was a couple miles east of Greensburg that day.
At the same time as Teresa Heinz was carving “KKKapitalism” in the back of a bus seat, a true battle was about to take place. A large army of farmers as well as mill workers from Latrobe and Altoona were getting ready to charge the hills of Totteridge. Upper management from Rees Jones Developments were quick to arm Totteridge “guest” Mexican laborers with shanks and other sharp implements in order to mount an effort against the outsource angered Americans. It became quite the affair as potential residents of the upscale links community drank and took bets on the vicious fight. A photographer from the Post Gazette’s “SEEN” section made sure that he took many pictures of the smiles that one can have from too much Glennlevit Whiskey and peasant blood.
Yes folks, this election may or may not make a difference in our current state of this union, shock will be the only state left out of the fifty, not including the colony states from the dense forests of Columbia to Equatorial Guinea. A real storm is brewing, and Jeb Bush will have no idea what to do aside from reading Revelations and slitting his wrist. Those of us who know why Republicans, Democrats, Salesman, Corporate Jagoffs, and even our fuzzy buddy Nader, wear suits and ties, will continue to seek. Rain or shine, we will hold drum circles in the woods, read Chomsky, Zinn and Beatnik literature, raise families, share ideas as well as food, dismantle corrupt offices, and work extra hard to make sure that Grandma’s glaucoma prescription is available for those who truly want out of the dark.
Yours as truly as possible,
Matthius
