Voter Harrassment
by Oakland Resident Tuesday, Nov. 02, 2004 at 7:23 AM

Fake Clinton phone call?

I received a call around 11am today on Nov. 2nd from an electronic recording claiming to be bill clinton. I don't think the voice was genuine. It was basically saying we have the power to vote and its great, so you should vote *tomorrow*. It then said it was not from a political party (kinda as a disclaimer from a female voice). I read in the Pgh Post Gazette at http://www.postgazette.com/pg/04307/405450.stm that this has happened to at least one other person...definitely not good...especially since i know of no way of tracking down who is responsible.

my housemates and i got the same call last night (monday).
we thought that it was wierd that it wasn't endorsed by ANYBODY. not even bill clinton himself.
maybe the people who are doing that didn't turn the automatic call machines off?
i really hope so because that is downright dirty if it's being used to confuse people.
(not that i'd put it past the bushies, but still...)

Re: Phone Number

I did call the phone number (215-922-0112), and it does go to America Coming Together, but I highly doubt that the message itself was actually from ACT.

Democrats is so Stupid
by Karl Rove Wednesday, Nov. 03, 2004 at 7:10 AM

Sounds like the political action group's automated calling machine was allowed to run on Tuesday when it should have run on Monday. Does sound like intimidation or harrassment, but just plain laziness and stupidity. You think that they would have thought to change the recorded message.

Democrats are so funny.
