A breif report from the March 18th bike bloc

Yesterday morning, about fifty anti-war bicyclists gathered and rode in protest of the ongoing war and occupation of Iraq as part of a day of global demonstrations on the third anniversary of the US invasion. Riding through the streets of Friendship, the Strip, Downtown, and the Southside, we sought to expand Pittsburgh's anti-war protest from the parade route to a larger part of town, while making connections between the Iraq war and domestic oil consumption by demonstrating and celebrating human powered travel.
