Nouveau Noblese Oblige?
Just wondering, but is there now any type of crimes or political corruption that an American President (like say George W.Bush)can still be criminally charged with or impeached for? Hmmm lets see we know Bush can't be indicted or impeached for War Crimes or Crimes against Humanity in Afghanistan;Iraq or Guantanamo Bay and he can't be indicted or impeached for illegal wire-tapping and spying on innocent Americans plus Bush can't even be implicated, let alone investigated in any 911 conspiracies. So whats left? Theres nobody in the US political system, either democrats or republicians who will hold Bush criminally responsible for anything he's done. The conclusion is that Bush is for all intents and purposes "Omnipotent"!
Sen.Harkin says same thing!

Senator Tom Harkin recently made the same point on the invulnerability of Bush on the Bill Press Show!
...................................................
Bill Press: Senator Tom Harkin our guest on The Bill Press Show. Senator, your colleague and buddy Russ Feingold had a hearing last Friday on his motion to censure President Bush over the NSA spying program. Why haven’t more democrats lined up behind him?
Senator Tom Harkin: Well, Bill, quite frankly I don’t know, and I’m embarassed that more democrats haven’t lined up on this. I mean, for crying out loud, the republicans, they can see fit to impeach… IMPEACH a president, Bill Clinton for lying about having an extramarital affair. But they won’t stand for a censure. The democrats don’t have the guts to stand up to censure a president who misled us, who lied to the American people, who broke the law and violated the Constitution of the United States in spying on the American people. I tell you, we’ve got to get some more backbone to a lot of democrats. We need to hear from people. We need to hear from people. The American people need to know, and to show support for this resolution.
Then what?

Bush is merely continuing Clinton's policies.
What would change if he were impeached/resigned/assassinated?
Nothing.
Insurrection, not impeachment games.
Change life, not bosses.
Everyone is Washington is Bush!

Yinsurgent: You're absolutely right! While Bush & Co. were committing all these atrocities in Iraq and Afghanistan, the rest of the American Govt, including Dems and Repubs just sat on their hands and passively rubber stamped Bush's war crimes and crimes against humanity.
So even if Bush is impeached, resigns,is imprisoned etc.,the politicians ready to take his place are the exact same ones who passively and in many cases actively, aided & abetted him in his faschism and human rights atrocities.
