Teusday, June 27 - Today a dozen activists turned out in the pouring rain to picket the Market Square recruiting station in downtown Pittsburgh as part of a "National Day of Action to Stand Up with Lt. Ehren Watada." On June 22, U.S. Army First Lieutenant Ehren K. Watada became the first commissioned officer to publicly refuse deployment to the Iraq War and occupation. Pittsburgh was one of 35 cities holding similar solidarity actions across North America.
