A Call to Confront the Klan's Rally at Harper's Ferry, October 14th

No KKK in West Virginia
On October 14th, the World Knights of the Ku Klux Klan will hold a rally in Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia, continuing their recent trend of holding demonstrations on national landmarks and battlefields. To even further the absurdity, this time they're protesting the famous raid led by abolitionist John Brown on the arsenal there on October 16th, 1859. The topic of discourse: "Black Crimes in White America."
This would mark the fifth time the Klan has showed up on a battlefield to spew their racist, hateful rhetoric, and with every time they encounter less and less opposition. It’s important to show the KKK and others like them that we will most certainly NOT stand for fascist organizing in our communities, and that they will be met with resistance where ever they go. No matter what.
While many continue to take the stance of, "ignoring them will make them go away," it must reiterated that ignoring problems has never made them go away. And it won't. Ever. They must be stopped.
This is a call for all anti-racists and anti-fascists within the region to come to Harper’s Ferry and militantly address this threat to our communities. We hope to apply pressure to fascist organizing as much as we can, in hopes of building a large and diverse resistance movement that is capable of confronting this problem appropriately: physically and directly. Nothing less.
It is asked that all who wish to come begin organizing in their own communities with their own tactics and ideas now, so that we can coordinate a larger action during the time of the rally that can be as effective as possible. E-mail smashtheklaninwva@yahoo.com to plug in so that we can begin coordinating our efforts.

I can't wait for this rally to take place, I was at the last rally on Sept. 2nd in Gettysburg, PA and I must say it was a huge success. It's nice to see that the Klan is not afraid to express their views and beliefs which they are very much entitled to have. So many people call them bigots when it's you who can't stand it when someone believes something different than what you do. We all need to accept the fact that different people have different views and it doesn't matter what kind of opposition there is, the Klan will get their message out there in the hopes that someone will hear the truth they speak!!
Early Halloween?

The Klan, like most white supremacist groups, who when they say 'we're holding a rally' mean 'we like to hide behind Black cops, and stare at their asses'
It'll be worse than your truck, this time...
I remember this one time...

Yeah remember that one rally in Oakland where the clan assualted a photographer, then they smashed that glass door to the recruitment office, and then they refused to cooperate with police and some of them got tazered?
Oh wait, that wasn't the clan, my mistake.
That's right

It was the klan who had the tasers and the dogs, if my memory serves me well.
The klan in blue did the klan in white's job so well, the bedsheets are almost just a curiosity. The klan wear bulletproof vests and drives APC's through Homewood, protecting their crooked dope game.
It's even better to be a blue klansmen in Allegheny County, especially with a "badge bunny" DA like Zapalla, who seems to really dig a man in uniform.

I love cynicrasm. Its the melding of cynicism and sarcasm...and its an art form rarely displayed.
That being said, I've never seen APC's in Homewood.
Did I miss something?

End the occupation

Carrying assault rifles and accompanied by a large armored tactical van that looked like something out of a war zone, SERT officers searched vacant homes and empty lots for weapons and drug caches. The SERT team was trying to clear 40 houses in Homewood by 2 a.m.

Curiously Off Topic

Not to take away from the Klan dialogue here on this fine forum (well...since the cops were compared to the klan, I guess its not that off topic), but just out of curiousity when its said "end the occupation" I am assuming you refer to cops, et al.
What then, will be the solution for a string of shootings, or break ins, etc. when the cops are not there?
Just FYI, the question isn't a sarcastic one, I'm really curious what people here would envision for these situations.
How many times have you asked this question?

Come on, this question is so fucking trite for a forum like this, one with lots of anarchists, why does anyone bother asking it anymore? And C, I've seen you on this forum before and I'm pretty sure you've asked this question a million times.
What is the motivating factor for things like break-ins and "strings of shootings", the latter being almost unheard of outside gang violence? People who have nothing, either power or money, and want to get more. If a community were ever powerful enough to "end the occupation", it would also be powerful enough to provide for itself through legitimate means, not preying on others, and could take care of those who sought to hurt members of the community or the community as a whole.

Since the crips have to share their colors with a much more powerful gang, called "the police" this is a no brainer. Would there be drug-related shootings without the centrally planned economic control called "the police"?
They create the problem and then "respond" to it. The blue klan or gang (sorry crips) are merely a reactive body, that respond AFTER, people are shot, things are stolen, etc. They then step in and make a bad situation worse.
PS-It sounds like it was a cop who started calling anarchists, clan (sic) types. If I was into the pseudoscience of a Viennese cokeheads ramblings, I'd call that projection, but I'm not superstitious or impressed by people who can't seem to leave college, like shrinks and professors.

Well, where do I start? First off there a bunch of lazy good for nothing trixters, crack smoking swindlers, wide nose having...breathin all the white man's air. They eat up all the chicken, think they're the best dancers, and they stink!
