After 5 years with the department, male officers must be unable to see their own genitals, beneath their bellies. The tiny legs are mandated, too. This is what happens when you are basically a cab driver with a gun and funny clothes.

According to the Pittsburgh Organizing Group's website http://www.organizepittsburgh.org , there is a vigil outside Sgt. Vollberg's house at 7:30 on Thursday April 12. Sgt. Vollberg lives at 1705 Cosmos St. in West Mifflin.

I know plenty of cab drivers who carry and have crazy clothes. Don't be mean to the cabbies! I've never seen any of them choke someone, throw them up against the wall, and then stuff them into a car.

FYI, an article mentioning Sgt. Vollberg striking a suspect "twice in the face with his fist" in order to subdue him. What an asshole he is, all too typical of white Pittsburgh police officers.

Gaming board agent arrested
South Side scuffle with off-duty officers
Sunday, May 28, 2006
By Mark Belko, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Another state Gaming Control Board employee is facing legal woes after an altercation with off-duty police officers on the South Side early yesterday morning.
Justin Husar, 26, identified by police as an agent for the gaming board, was arrested after he apparently tried to get inside the Town Tavern on East Carson Street without paying the cover charge.
He has been charged with escape, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness in connection with the incident, which occurred about 1:30 a.m. He is the fifth gambling board employee to be arrested since August.
Yesterday's trouble began after Mr. Husar, of the South Side, was escorted out of the Town Tavern by an employee, screaming that the worker was "[expletive] wrong," according to the report by city police Sgt. William Vollberg, who was working an off-duty detail outside the bar.
Mr. Husar then approached Sgt. Vollberg and a second off-duty officer, Kenneth Stevwing and screamed, the report said, "You know he's wrong. I used to be a federal agent. I work for the Gaming Control Board. I showed him my tin (badge) and he's supposed to let me and my friends upstairs."
When Sgt. Vollberg asked Mr. Husar what he was referring to, Mr. Husar replied, "I showed him my tin. He tried to charge me and my friends a cover. You know that's [expletive] up."
Mr. Husar then was told several times to leave the area and was warned that he would be arrested if he did not. At one point, according to the report, Mr. Husar stuck his chest against Sgt. Vollberg's.
The report said that after Mr. Husar again stepped toward the off-duty officer and started shouting in his face, Sgt. Vollberg used a leg sweep to knock him off his feet. When he and Officer Stevwing tried to handcuff Mr. Husar, he resisted, got back to his feet, broke free and started running down East Carson. Mr. Husar was tackled when he tried to "run through" two other off-duty officers who were approaching. His face struck the ground, causing brushburns, according to the report.
As Mr. Husar continued to resist, Sgt. Vollberg struck him twice in the face with his fist, the report said, which subdued him enough to be handcuffed. He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
Mr. Husar could not be reached for comment yesterday evening. Nick Hays, a gaming board spokesman, also could not be reached.
Four other gambling board employees have had problems with the law. Last month, a employee with the board's Bureau of Investigations and Enforcement, was charged with falsifying an official background statement related to his education.
Two high-ranking board employees were charged in connection with separate fights and disturbances outside Harrisburg bars last year. Another employee has been charged with homicide in the death of a girlfriend who fell 23 stories from a building in February.

It's also worth noting that Vollberg was named in the 2002 lawsuit Asbury v Connelly et al.
At trial, Lee Asbury alleged that Vollberg and his cronies put him in the back of a police van and beat him up. Unfortunately, the sided with the boys in blue over Asbury. From the appeal history (it went all the way to the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals) it looks like it was a pretty messy trial and probably fixed against Asbury, but it's difficult to tell because transcripts aren't available online.
If somebody's really interested in hearing what a thug this guy is you might want to go down to the County Court House to read the transcripts of the trial. You'll also probably get a chance to read the transcripts of Vollberg lieing under oath (or you could just wait for the trials arising from A3 to see that!).
Anybody know anything else about this punk?

i believe being fat or having huge beer bellies is a requirement, or if not, is at least used as a weapon. One of the fat cops body slammed me into a van with his belly....and it really hurt.

Get a Life!

Most of you people need to get a real life. I see from your photo's an officer doing his JOB! You don't want arrested don't be stupid. You act if what the officer doing his job did was personal to you. It was his job. But yet you see no harm in posting an officer's personal information on line not taking into consideration who besides the officer you may hurt or cause problems for. You want to stand up for innocent people then keep it with the job and leave personal lives out of it. How would any of you like it if a group came to your personal home with your personal family and invaded your personal space? Get a real life!

Only if you are a criminal. Then they get warrants to come in. It is called the law. Where are your warrants or your probable cause to cause his family grief?

No one would have been outside his home if he had not assaulted and kidnapped people for taking pictures. When Vollberg's terrorist co-workers photograph me, I can't attack and handcuff them. Unlike Vollberg, I don't have a job that lets me sell drugs and kill people with no consequences.
If Vollberg was so worried about his family, he'd get an honest job.

Did or did not "good cop" Vollberg, assault and arrest two people because his picture was being taken? What about the other legal terrorists who were taking pictures from the parking lot? Can I walk up to them and attack them, with no consequences?
I've seen his HR jacket, and he's not as good as you think. I don't know what it will take, a business dispute like Pokorny and Mollett had?
The off record remarks about the Detroit fentanyl killing "his junkies" in Zone 4, speaks volumes about Vollberg.

you can slander his name and make fun of his family but you can't get rid of the truth. He is a good cop who did his job. Truth hurts doesn't it.

Is it his job to attack anybody with a camera? Why didn't he attack his fellow terrorists, who were taking pictures? Or by his job do you mean running heroin from Hazelwood to Squirrel Hill?
He continues to ruin his own name, and nobody is making fun of his family. Maybe Vollberg wouldn't have referred to the 'fat ugly bitches' if they were dressed up like Busch Gardens rejects?

and how did he do his job exactly? two independant, non-protester witnesses reported in city paper that he clearly broke the law. Those charges agaisnt the arrested aren't going to stick and everyone knows it. He'll be lucky if he doesn't get sued and have complaints filed against him with omi/cprb, and he has no one to blame but himself for what's happening. The fact he's trying to get his cop buddied to harass people complaining is only going to increase the attention on him. He is bringing shame and attention to himself and those associated with him. Anyone with half a brain would have realized they fucked up and tried to tone this stuff down. We all make mistakes whoever we are. A simple dropping of the charges and a personal apology shortly after the fact would probably have done the trick and that would have been the end of it. No protset at his house and protesters probably would have congradulated him on at least doing the right thing after the fact.

Response to liberal trash.

I usually don't respond to extreme liberal rags such as these, however this merits one from me. I have known Bill Vollberg most of my life and Bill happens to be one of the most decent and fair people I know. He has a wife and children as well and is respectful of this when having to arrest another child that had parents that didn't do such a great job raising him as is obvious by the outcome of this situation. A peaceful protest does not mean the protesters have a right to infringe on ANYONE'S rights, including that of a police officer. Just because this little snot-nosed anarchist hates living in this country (by the way they were murdering anti-Chavez protesters in Venezuela)does not make it okay to provoke or instigate a situation merely for the little bastard's sorry-assed fifteen minutes of fame. Liberals I don't have a problem with. Extreme liberalism, just as extreme conservatism, in lunatic fringe. Protesting a recruiter's office because of a war you disagree with is about as lame as protesting a theater because you didn't like the movie. Go to Washington DC and voice your opinion to the movers and shakers. First though, I would recommend educating yourself on certain matters and having SOME knowledge of what is going on in the world around you. It is obvious to me these generation Y'ers have no clue as to much at all except the next release date of the latest violent video game. I'll take my chances with the Republicans. By the way, for the uneducated fool that felt a need to comment on Bill's weight and appearance - some of you need to take a good long look in the mirror! Piercings all over your hideous faces and clothes from a freaking garage sale with hair that hasn't been washed in weeks is nothing to showcase in public. Left-wing FREAKS!

I noticed one peculiar trend with all of you so-called keyboard warrior anarchists - all of you with the exception of the Post-Gazette writer have chosen to remain anonymous. I have to wonder what you fear? A healthy cyber-debate or is it that you all are just too chicken sh*t and hide behind silly screen names? Really - why is this? I have listed my full name and email (these items are optional for posting) and have no qualms about an open minded intelligent discussion with anyone regardless of political views. I will not respond to anyone that hides behind a keyboard while threatening someone's family though. That type of behavior just re-assures me that this person is nothing more than a coward.
