Good Friday was remembered by fifty or more people as they walked through Harrisburg reflecting on the horrors being done to the poor and vulnerable in today's world.

As part of an annual public meditation on peace and justice, people of faith and folks concerned with oppression in the modern world walked together around Harrisburg's downtown. Using scripture and Christ's "stations" for reflection on current events, we stopped at various city landmarks and paused together for reflection. The evil perpetrated upon the poor and vulnerable here in our country and around the world by military and financial interests was a common theme of the Walk.

Walking Way in Harrisburg
by dave Tuesday, Apr. 10, 2007 at 2:07 AM

The Walking Way has been held in Harrisburg every Good Friday for the past eight years. Please feel free to join us next April if you are able to come to Harrisburg. We gather in front of the Dauphin County courthouse around 9:30 am [at the corner of Front and market Streets]. Pax Christi Harrisburg sponsored the event this year and will most likely do so again next year.

this local poet's picture somehow slipped into the mix. oddly enough, his words often reflect absurdity and injustice in our modern world.
