Early Monday morning, a banner was dropped near the Allegheny County Jail in solidarity with 2 Spanish anarchist prisoners.
The prison system is a monstrous result of the capitalist state. It must be destroyed! No one has a right to imprison another – irrational fear makes us sometimes believe otherwise. Thinking of alternatives to such a system is a waste of time, as Voltaire said, "...when I deliver the world from a monster which devours it, I am asked what will I put in its place?"
We dropped a banner in plain view of the prisoners' cells at Allegheny County Jail in downtown Pittsburgh. Due to the number of pigs circling the jail at any given time, it was very difficult to get a picture of the banner. The banner read "Free Gabriel, Free Jose, Abolish Prisons" and had a circle A drawn in the bottom right corner.
We are in solidarity with Jose Fernandez Delgado and Gabriel Pombo da Silva. In the words of Pierleone Porcu "we think of solidarity as a way of being accomplices, of taking reciprocal pleasure and in no way consider it a duty, a sacrifice for the "good and sacred cause", because it is our own cause, i.e. ourselves. " We will not rest till they are freed and all prisons are ashes to dance upon. Death to the state! Long live anarchy!
