"Remembering Hiroshima-Imaging Peace" is a city wide remembrance of the human shadows burnt into the sidewalks of Hiroshima on August 6th 1945. Pittsburghers gathered at the Federal Building, walked through downtown and across the bridge to perform drop down shadow markings on the bank of the river.

Many people strive for high ideals and many are here in Pittsburgh. On a very hot August day senior and junior citizens walked through the city and participated in The FlashMob/Shadow project which was organized by a young artist. Thank you to all who organized and participated in this essential and vital memorial. Some of the participants are over the age of 80. They are role models for life long commitment to Peace and Justice. They are a deep source of inspiration.
